Session Proposals
Submit your session proposal by November 27th. All proposals relevant to working with the transfer student population are welcome; below is a list of suggested topics:
- Transfer 101 – Everything that a High School Counselor should know about the transfer student journey
- Partnerships in Practice – best practices for CC’s and 4-years to work together
- Transfer as a potential avenue and response to the recent affirmative action ruling
- The undeclared student – helping students to select the major right for them early in their transfer planning process
- Declining percentage of community college students who are degree bound and how to handle that in college admissions
- What schools may be doing to combat challenges like Coursera and Google certificates amongst adult populations
- Tell us, what’s in your transfer toolkit?
- Data, studies, and research in the transfer field
- How to best advise high school seniors who indicate that they are starting at a community college
- Eliminating institutional silos to create a collaborative approach to best serving transfer students
- Use of academic advisors or other staff members in transfer recruitment and retention
