What’s next for your professional career?
By Zachary George, DePaul University
Middle Management Institute Co-Chair
The Middle Management Institute faculty members have been hard at work to secure a successful conference for our colleagues in the profession with 3-7 years of experience. In its 4th year as a program offered to IACAC members, Middle Management Institute has maintained its position as an opportunity for colleagues to come find the answer to the question, “what’s next?” The Institute is based on self-reflection, an understanding of management styles and their managers’ styles, news from the enrollment management side of our profession, professional development, and networking specifically aimed towards resume building, problem solving, and gaining a bigger picture of the field of admission.
This year’s Middle Management Institute will be held at Augustana College in Rock Island on Thursday, June 5th and Friday, June 6th. Registration will go live in March, and space will be limited to the first 35 members who register for the Institute. If you find that you’re at a point in your professional career to attend Middle Management, we encourage you to begin having the conversation with your supervisor regarding your interest!
If you manage a team of admission professionals, we hope you consider sending one or two of your team members to our Middle Management Institute. We are confident that attendees of Middle Management leave with a better understanding of their self and their role within the office.
If you have any questions about the Middle Management Institute, or would like to see the schedule of sessions from years past, please feel free to email the co-chairs Zachary George or Chris Kawakita.
