As I reflect on these past two years and see how much the world has changed…and not changed, I cannot help but smile when I think about our association. We have adapted, pivoted, evolved, and all of the other big words that have come to symbolize this moment in time. While there is still work to be done, we should be proud that we did not stand still and kept moving forward.

The pandemic and the relevant and needed conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion have made our association and this country very uncomfortable.

GOOD!

It is warranted that our leadership is put to task and asked questions that do not have easy answers. We also should not let ourselves off the hook. If you want our country to be better, if you want leadership to address our concerns, if you want our association to do more for our membership and for our students—it can start with you. IACAC has a bunch of gifted, driven, and passionate individuals that I would put up against any organization.
