The Evaluations Committee has recruited 36 volunteers for the annual conference, Imagine Possibilities. The Committee achieved its goal of recruiting 35 members to assist with scanning participants for each conference session. Volunteers get to choose their preferred conference sessions, which will enable them to simultaneously participate in their preferred professional development sessions as well as volunteer at the conference. In addition, the Committee recommended that IACAC invest in volunteer buttons for conference volunteers to wear on their badges in order to encourage new members and interested participants to assist in various ways throughout the 2015 conference and in the future.
The Committee has also been part of an extensive research process in determining a new technology vendor to use at the 2015 conference. American Tradeshow Services (ATS) was chosen as the company to best meet the conference needs. ATS will be providing 14 scanners to facilitate the Committee’s work. The Committee is currently finalizing details on the information to be provided on both the name badges for Conference participants and the spreadsheets for the committees. In the next few weeks we will finalize assignments for Committee volunteers as we work with ATS to provide the final details leading up to the start of the conference on April 29th.
