Welcome to the New Newsletter!
Since the Media Communications Committee was created last May, we have undertaken the task of improving the methods by which IACAC keeps members informed of news about IACAC and the college admission profession. With that goal in mind, we are excited to present to you our new electronic newsletter.
We created something that has more readability, more up-to-date information about the latest news from all around the organization, and hopefully a very user-friendly format! We’ve also created the option for printing the articles should you wish to read them on paper, or print the entire newsletter (PDF) in one easy step! For those of you with iPhones, Android phones or the latest touch screen Blackberries-we’ve created a mobile version of the newsletter, so you’ll conveniently be able to read your IACAC news on the go.
BUT WE NEED A NAME! We were so excited to send this first newsletter out, we forgot to name it! Can you help? Send us something creative. You may get the chance to leave your legacy, and who knows-prizes might be involved!
We are also pleased to announce that we are working on a complete redesign of the IACAC website that we hope to unveil to you at the 2011 Annual Conference. In order to best allocate our resources for the redesign, our first step was to retire HigherEducationStation.org. While there were many valuable resources on the site, much of the information was outdated. If you have a link to highereducationstation.org on your website or referenced in other documents we suggest you remove it.
We have a busy year ahead of us and we are anxious to add some creative and savvy members to our current committee of four. If anything above piques your interest, please contact Megan O’Rourke for more information and to sign up to volunteer! If you have any suggestions, comments or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
