ISAC Professional Development Opportunities for Counselors and Mentors
Need answers to your students’ questions about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? Do you want to effectively advocate for students that experience special circumstances? Have you ever wondered how a family’s ability to contribute to the cost of a college education is calculated? Register at www.collegezone.com/OutreachTraining to participate in one or several of the professional development opportunities brought to a location near your home or office by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). ISAC’s half day workshops (8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.) are presented by experienced outreach professionals who infuse each presentation with a wealth of knowledge and real-life scenarios that will equip you with ready-to-use resources, insight on topic-relevant trends, and tips to help your students avoid common mistakes. For your convenience, ISAC will award Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) and Professional Counselor/Clinical Counselor Continuing Education (CE) credit at a rate of one per contact hour at a cost of $0, Zip, Zilch, Nada.
